The Community solar program enables entire communities to take advantage of solar power constructed in a remote location.
The primary purpose of community solar is to provide members of a community with the opportunity to share the benefits of solar power even if they cannot or prefer not to install solar panels on their property. Project participants benefit from the electricity generated by the community solar farm, which costs less than the price they would ordinarily pay to their utility.

Community solar provides everyone involved with an equal opportunity to benefit from solar power.

The State of New Jersey is accepting applications in September 2019 for the first phase of their Community Solar Program. Contact EZNERGY, if you are interested in learning more about hosting a community solar project on your underused property

Why Community Solar?

  • Economic development and job creation

  • Reduced and stabilized energy costs

  • American energy independence and resilience

  • Value to utility

  • Community pride

  • Repurposing land previously unusable

Solar for All

No sign-up costs, and no hidden or extra monthly fees. The only cost is the electricity you consume, at a discounted rate.

It’s easy:

Once you are assigned to a project, you’ll see the credits on the same electric bill you already receive, without changing your electric utility. You can just sit back and start saving.

You’ll help your community: Signing up for Solar for All means you’re reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting a cleaner environment.

Low and Moderate Income Set Aside: The New Jersey Community Solar program will have a dedicated amount of energy generated by each “solar field” dedicated to serving those who need relief on their monthly utility bills.

Not everyone can take advantage of solar where they currently live due to:

  • Roof structure

  • Shading issues and location

  • Interconnection issues

  • Renters

  • Unable to access financing options

Community Solar Tax Incentives And
Renewable Energy Certificates

Being able to benefit from Federal and State incentives like the Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and the SREC program, encourage companies and organizations to finance the development of community solar. In addition, the investors in Community Solar receive the income from selling the energy at a reduced cost to the communities that they serve.
